Dear Neho customers, dear home buyers,

Since Friday, March 13th, the situation in regard to public health and COVID-19 (“the coronavirus”) has gotten more drastic in Switzerland - as well as the rest of the world.

The federal and cantonal governments have already taken measures to minimise the further spread of COVID-19 including the cancellation of events limitation of gatherings and advice to apply “social distancing”. For details, please refer to the official guidelines:

We’ve always been prepared for this

No real-estate brokerage agency has been more committed than us to new technologies.

We are today focused on keeping to provide you with the best real estate service possible. We are able to offer, for all our clients and all our properties, virtual tours, digital contracts and reservation agreements as well as, in response to “social distancing” policies, remote valuations. The coronavirus has just made the future we’ve been preparing for come sooner.

But since selling and buying houses will always remain a human business, involving crucial social interactions, we’ve taken specific measures to allow the continuation of the entire selling & buying process and particularly the phases that involve human interactions, that is:

  • initial on-site estimations;
  • photoshoots;
  • buyer visits.

For all of these situations, you will find below our health and safety policies. Please refer to the section that concerns you.

Take care of yourself and your loved ones,

The Neho team

General measures

Virtual tours for anyone with a sniffle: no one should tour with cold or flu symptoms. If you’re sick or might be sick, please have a look at our virtual tours and call our team that will be glad to answer all your questions.

A healthy agent: because our agents work in teams, if your agent has a cough, we’ll find another way to appraise or host a tour of your property.

Initial Estimations

Concerning the valuation of your property, please be assured that our agents are committed to the hereafter mentioned security measures, to ensure the safety of all concerned.

Until further notice, the following guidelines apply:

  • In general, your Neho Real Estate Agent will keep a safety distance to anyone in the house of at least 2 meters. Please make sure that also any pet you have is under control and will therefore stay always at a distance from your agent
  • Your Real Estate Agent will not touch you or anything else in the house. For anything that would require any kind of contact, we kindly ask you to do it for him/her
  • Please scan all the required documents and send them to your agent, instead of giving them by paper. If you are unable to scan your documents, ask your agent to take pictures of the documents, they are all equipped with modern mobile scanners applications
  • Please make sure that there are a sink and soap available, so your Neho Real Estate agent can wash his / her hands in case he/she had to touch something

Again, we remind you that your Neho Real Estate agent is perfectly informed about these guidelines, so do not hesitate to tell him/her that you strictly want to follow them.

If you don’t feel comfortable with these measures, please inform your agent so we can find the appropriate solution. Please also note that we now have the possibility to perform remote valuations. Your agent can tell you more about this procedure.

In the case where our agents are concerned about their health, your health or the well-being of their loved ones, and are generally uncomfortable with performing on-site valuations, we have of course decided to respect their decisions. If that is the case with your agent, he/she will let you know and discuss with you the better solution to move forward.

Photoshoots

Concerning the photoshoot visit, we have taken all the necessary precautions on our side to ensure the safety of all concerned. The photographer will be wearing a mask and gloves.

On your side, we ask you to follow these guidelines :

  • Upon arrival, our photographer will keep a safety distance to anyone in the house of at least 2 meters and will not shake your hand. Please make sure that also any pet you have is under control and will, therefore, stay always at a distance from the photographer ;
  • Once you've welcome the photographer, we kindly ask you to leave the premises in order for him/her to serenely peform the photoshooting. He/she will call you once the shooting is done ;
  • More than ever, it’s highly important that you take some time to prepare your property before welcoming our photographer as he/she will not touch anything in the property. He/she won’t be able to help you moving things away or reorganizing your place during his/her photoshoot. We have released a series of guidelines to help you figure out what needs to be done, which is available here.

If you don’t feel comfortable with these measures, please inform your agent or the photographer so we can find an appropriate solution.

Buyer visits

To protect the health of our customers, agents and communities, we’re cancelling open houses for all homes we list and limiting private in-person tours of all listings to two customers per tour. We’re still serving hundreds of buyers and sellers each day, but with new rules and new technologies.

 |  Seller guidelines

First of all, you shouldn’t worry about cancelled viewings and open houses. Since we publish interactive, three-dimensional virtual tours and scans of all homes listed by our agents, buyers can still explore every nook and cranny of a home for sale without creating a public-health risk. For every listing, we run a digital marketing campaign and publish on all the major real estate portals to bring all interested folks through your home online.

Concerning future buyer visits at your place, please be assured that we have taken all the necessary precautions by informing the potential buyers of all the appropriate security measures to ensure the safety of all concerned.

Until further notice, the following guidelines apply:

  • In general, the buyer will keep a safety distance to anyone in the house of at least 2 meters. Please make sure that also any pet you have is under control and will, therefore, stay always at a distance from the buyer;
  • The buyer will not touch you or anything else in the house. For anything that would require any kind of contact, we kindly ask you to do it for him/her;
  • Please make sure that there are a sink and soap available, so the buyer can wash his / her hands in case he/she had to touch something.

Again, we remind you that the buyers are perfectly informed about these guidelines, so do not hesitate to tell him/her that you strictly want to follow them.

Nevertheless, if you don’t feel comfortable to go through with the visit(s), please inform your agent so we can find an appropriate solution.
