In 2020, the average taxable income per taxpayer in the canton of Appenzell Outer-Rhodes was CHF 71'330, i.e. 9.7% less than the national average of CHF 79'015. The canton of Appenzell Outer-Rhodes thus ranks 15th out of all the 26 cantons of the country.
