What is the gross sales area?

General

The gross sales area includes in its calculation, almost all surfaces of a dwelling.

In other words, it includes :

 

  • the net living area of the property;
  • the interior building area, i.e. the thickness of the interior walls of the property;
  • the external and common walls of the dwelling (to 50% in the case of common walls);
  • the external surface which includes loggias, balconies and terraces weighted at 50% for balconies and loggias and 33% for terraces.

 

This surface is used as a reference sales area in the canton of Valais.
